In accordance with the provisions of the Restriction on the Use of Tobacco Products and Related Products Act (the ZOUTPI), the National Laboratory of Health, Environment and Food (NLZOH) has been designated as the competent authority of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia for receiving, storing, processing, analysing and publishing data and measuring emissions from tobacco products.

Tobacco products are products that can be consumed and include, even in part, tobacco, whether genetically modified or not. 

The purpose of the service:

1. Emission analyses
   In accordance with the provisions of the ZOUTPI, we measure emission levels of tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide in line with accredited methods (accreditation certificate LP-014):
   • ISO 4387 for tar,
   • ISO 10315 for nicotine,
   • ISO 8454 for carbon monoxide.
2. Reporting on tobacco products
   All information on tobacco and related products must be submitted via the European Common Entry Gate (EU-CEG) made available by the European Commission. Instructions on how to log in and obtain the submitter ID are available from the European Commission. To log in, you need to create an account and request an ID. You can download the registration form and the instructions from the EU-CEG website.
   
   On 17 February 2018, the Rules on reporting on tobacco and related products entered into force.
   
   Manufacturers and importers (submitters) are hereby informed that the www.tobak.si website contains forms for the payment of fees referred to in Article 10 of the Rules, Items 1 and 2. The form must indicate all IDs of the products that you have or will submit via EU-CEG.
